LEXIS (Techno set)

A young enthusiast from Slovenia started his journey when he first came
in touch with electronic music at the break of the millennium. At the
beginning of his DJ career things went slowly for Lexis until he
started with his own music production. This experience brought new
sense and vision into his evolution as an artist. After his first tries
he came in touch with another Slovenian artist Daniel Gloomy, who has
given Lexis a chance to present his music on labels such as Cardiac
Arrest Recs. and Beast Music. Soon after his debut on Daniel’s labels
releases followed on various techno labels. Many top selling EPs
propelled Lexis’ DJ career as well, bookings all over Europe and also
South America followed soon after. Lexis teamed up with Daniel Gloomy
once again to co-run the label Cardiac Arrest Recs. in 2007. His unique
style of combining hard and dark sound with groovy and funky elements
have made him one of the top hard techno artists at the moment
THE FROG

Darjan Brdnik (Slovenia) aKa theFrog was first interested on punk rock
music. In 1999 he went to his first party in well known hala golovec.
He was so inspired by that scene so he decided to buy his first
turntables. His djing started in 2001 and 4 years later he started also
with making his own sound. He first liked hard techno sounds and was
playing on parties with real hard techno music than he decided to make a
big change and he started searching his own unique techno sound.His
favorite producers are eric sneo, chris leabing, reaky, adam beyer, aka
carl, alen milivojevic… He is one of the warriors who are trying to
get the real techno back. And for shure he won’t disappoint you on
party as dj. Also he is one of the founding fathers at NWORec and is
managing release schedule for BETA label.
GAMUT

Born in the musical family where everything was submissioned to audio,
he naturally started to attend music elementary school at the tender
age of 7, choosing drums&percussions as his instrument of
expression. By the age of 12, first band ties began to intertwine with
other young musical enthusiasts, as they experienced together the
addictive process of song writing, mainly focusing on
progressive&hard rock. Musical taste varied from Prodigy, Faithless
and Massive Attack to Body Count and Dream Theater. Couple of years,
bands&gigs passed, and the new millenium was just around the corner.
As we nearly said goodbye to the 20th century and embraced the year
2000, so has a once in a life-time breaking point ocurred to Gamut. He
stumbled upon a first progressive/trance full set cd, listened to
it...again, and again and again... and immediately attended one of the
infamous Hala Golovec massive parties and fell in love with
Electronica&Underground at the first ear/sight. He sold his new
drums almost the very next day, bought two decks, a 2-channel mixer and a
handful of funky tec vinyl. As mixing began to evolve, so did his
music production which continues to this very moment. Inhaling audio,
his heart pumps in bpms similar to his sets, sound therapy lasting
24/7, he exhales fragments of beats&melodies. Although he played at
all the big cities&clubs across Slovenia (including notorious
Ambasada-Gavioli), his heart focuses in the relentless production of
limitless ideas. Variety in mixing&producing was always mandatory
for Gamut, while still managing not to lose the thread, soul,
drive&funk in the proces (influences varied from C. Varela, C.
Smith, V. Kanzyani, A. Kowalski, A. Pappa, J. Digweed, Plastikman,
D.Masiello, Infusion, Preach, to name but a few...). Always divided
between the hard&energetic part of his soul that represents techno,
and the deep& metaphisique part which represents his love for
progressive, he is constantly trying to fuse the two in something new
and unique. The results of this inventive process you can check for

obligatory to invent your own style, otherwise you are just going to

GREG COLEMAN

Grega Kolman oz. na sceni bolj poznan kot dj "Greg Coleman", je svoj
prvi elektronski dogodek obiskal leta 99.
Leta 2000, ob prelomu tisočletja postane reden obiskovalec dogodkov z
elektronsko glasbo. Navdih je dobil v hali Golovec, kjer ni nikoli
manjkal, ko je bilo govora o party-ju. Navdušenost ga leta 2003
pripelje do nakupa prvega gramofona in po dveh letih vaje leta 2005
začne z nastopi in gostovanji. Vrtel je že z znanimi imeni kot so:
Space dj`z, Carl Falk, Luka Baumann, Marko Nastić, Fer Br, Obi, Psiho,
Veztax, Ian f, Gumja, Baly, Flis, Reaky ...
TOM CIDYX

He was affected by growing up in Switzerland. It was there, where he
first met with trance music and became enraptured by it. He also played
synths himself. At sixteen he moved to Slovenia and began mixing, with
which he had been introduced by a swiss friend. His style evolved from
trance, continued into hard techno and schranz but later turned to
»classical techno«, as he would call it. The first techno cd he
listened to was Umek, he has also been fond of Ben Long and generally
of djs to whose specific way of mixing he gets drawn to. He is
persistent in his musical taste and does not let himself get influenced
by external factors such as momentary trends, general agreeableness
and acceptability. He respects a great deal of artists, yet tries not
to resemble anyone. A guy, definetly worth hearing while absorbed in
music as his mixes always tell a story and never lack concept.
